Remember when we thought that was pretty good enough training for the desert heat?
With apologies to those who I may offend, there was an item in the Shield's Date Shake shop that perfectly sums up the second part of our 85 mile ride...
We saw:
New Terrain |
Windmill Farms |
Countless roadkill (Poor Bunny Foo Foo and pal Rodney Rattle Snake) Sorry - no photo ops...
San Andreas Fault |
And fellow riders, as we learn to depend on each other.
Tony and Jeff, sharing a speed lunch, trying to beat the heat. |
Tomorrow - the desert.
Little Notes:
Jim - It takes a million stops to leave L.A. - you're right. Thanks for the shake tip.
Bob - We passed many churches called Cross Roads...I saw this as a good omen as well.
EPTAM Gang - I sang Paradise by the Dashboard Light at the top of my lungs during a five mile climb.
Cannot tell you how that thrilled Jeff.

We'll be following your blog with much interest. We went cross country with Tracy 2 years ago on a Co-Motion Speedster (upgrading from a Burley). It was a wonderful experience. Good luck!!
