We started with a Burley tandem bike. That was a great bike. With it we rode many miles, and on many a fund raising tour. But as our kids got older, and started leaving home, we saw an opportunity for a new type of vacation - the bike tour. We upgraded to a custom made tandem bike - Co-Motion Speedster. This bike not only was geared (no pun) for our height differential, and range of motion differences, but also has couplings. These couplings enable us to take the bike apart , and put it together. (Okay - not "us" putting it together - it's Jeff, I just stand around holding things and handing him beers.) It fits into two regulation sized suitcases, and off we go.
Our first trip was to Tuscany with friends, Pamela and Don. It was the start of something wonderful...and look where it's led us.
